Administrative History	The school opened as Colshaw County Primary School in January 1972 to serve the Colshaw Farm Housing Estate, Wilmslow, which was a Manchester Corporation overspill estate, built to rehouse families from slum clearance areas in the centre of the city. It was renamed Oakenclough County Primary School in 1998.
